Alliance REIT is a Toronto based Real Estate Investment Trust that was established in 2016. Collectively, we are a local group of accredited investors, discerning residents, attentive property managers, professional real estate developers and committed community members.

We believe that renting should not mean sacrificing on comfort, luxury and service. We take genuine pride in not only providing a unique and elevated place to live, but an experience of home for all our residents.

We provide direct investments in premium multifamily real estate. Our model allows individuals to invest through their registered accounts (RRSP, TFSA eligible) and gain exposure to an asset class they might otherwise be unable to access because of capital restrictions, experience, or otherwise.

Alliance builds unique living spaces in boutique properties and focuses on dynamic urban neighbourhoods that attract discerning residents. Alliance has provided superior returns compared to all major indices including all public REITs since inception.

Our Process

We have achieved strong returns by strictly adhering to our strategy of efficient development of boutique elevated living spaces in desirable and gentrifying neighbourhoods. We maintain discipline on pursuing acquisitions and developments that present specific target going-in cap rate with long term asset appreciation upside. Our real estate investment strategy matches well with our core competency of identifying gentrifying neighbourhoods, acquiring properties at the right price and developing them appropriately and on budget to achieve our desired cap rate.

Hooman Tabesh JD, MBA
Chief Executive Officer

Hooman has over 20 years of experience in developing and managing residential real estate. As a Toronto native, Hooman has a deep personal connection and passion for Toronto neighbourhoods. That passion translates well in his role as the CEO of Alliance REIT. Previous to founding Alliance, Hooman was a strategic advisor to Boards of publicly listed companies and REITS at Kingsdale Advisors. Hooman has also held senior legal and asset management roles at Mackenzie Financial, BMO Global Asset Management, and BlackRock Canada. Hooman started his career practicing law at Goodmans LLP.

Jonathan Gareri 2

Jonathan Gareri
VP of Operations

Jonathan started his career at his family’s electrical business at a very young age, eventually rising to the role of operations manager. Since then, he has been involved in all aspects of the real estate industry from construction management to operation management and accounting. Jonathan has also had roles in managing various other business operations spanning different industries. Previous to Alliance, Jonathan was working in the mortgage industry, assisting the CFO where he was responsible for all aspects of accounting and coordination with brokers, lawyers and lenders. Jonathan joined Alliance REIT in 2022 and is team leader responsible for managing the day to day operations of the REIT.

Adam Haagaard
VP Property Development

Adam’s extensive career spans more than 25 years, during which he has mastered a multifaceted skill set that encompasses all aspects of construction and development, from meticulous planning to flawless execution. His deep understanding of construction dynamics and his ability to foresee and mitigate challenges makes him an invaluable asset.

His journey began at a young age, under the mentorship of his father, a veteran general contractor. This early exposure laid a solid foundation for what has now become an prominent career marked by extensive experience in the field of construction.

Adam is deeply committed to fostering strong client relationships. He understands the importance of clear communication and transparency in building trust with clients.

Adam’s deep understanding of the construction process, combined with his hands-on approach, ensures that every Alliance project meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency and elevated brand that Alliance adheres to.

Priyal Batra
Administrative Assistant

Priyal Batra has established a strong foundation in administrative support through diverse roles across multiple organizations. She began her career in Human Resources, where she developed expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, and administration.

Holding diplomas in Project Management and Human Resource Management, along with a BA in Applied Psychology, Priyal integrates a comprehensive understanding of human behavior with practical knowledge to effectively contribute to organizational success. She brings a thoughtful people centric approach to her work here at Alliance.

Volodymyr Kolotnytskyi
VP Property Management

Volodymyr Kolotnytskyi is a valuable member of the Alliance team. He is purposeful in approach, hardworking by nature and loves to learn and improve his skills to increase team productivity. He takes initiative and is guided by logic and common sense.  This approach has enabled Volodymyr to quickly become one of the team leaders at Alliance.

Kenny Albert
Private equity investor and community activist. Previously served 23 years as president of a subsidiary of the Kilmer Group, focused on growing and diversifying Kilmer’s interests in the sports, entertainment and media sectors. Prior to Kilmer, served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Canada Games Company Limited, one of Canada’s largest games distributors.
Mordecai Bobrowsky JD, MBA

General Counsel of Primaris REIT, a division of H&R REIT, responsible for all legal affairs including issues related to leasing, acquisitions, operations and development. Prior to joining Primaris, he was Assistant Vice President, Legal at RioCan REIT and Senior Legal Counsel at First Capital Realty.

Dan Shapira LLB

Head of Commercial Real Estate Law Group at DLA Piper (Canada) LLP, leading property development, sales, acquisitions, joint ventures commercial leasing and financing transactions, including land development and construction loans, acquisition facilities and operating facilities.

Vlad Tasevski CFA

Chief Operating Officer of Purpose Investments where he has broad involvement in implementation of the firm’s key initiatives and works closely with the President on corporate development and strategy. Prior to joining Purpose, Vlad was a Vice President at BlackRock in Toronto.

David Lieberman 

David Lieberman’s career in commercial real estate spans over 30 years and encompasses a broad range of real estate sales and consulting services. Having worked with many large private and institutional organizations, a member of Avison Young’s Circle of Excellence list, David has a well-established track record of achievement, including the completion of numerous multi-residential and land development transactions. David is actively involved in community fundraising, participating on the board of a number of charitable organizations raising millions of dollars towards Mount Sinai Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital and other charitable institutions.
